Hydrogen Peroxide - Propulsion & Power History

US - BECCO Chemcial Division of FMC (1950s)

General Information:

FMC has played a major role in the past & present history as a chemical supplier of hydrogen peroxide. In the early days of US hydrogen peroxide devices the Buffalo Electro-Chemical Co. (BECCO) Special Projects Group also manufactured and supplied thrusters and gas generators. The manufacture and supply of devices using hydrogen peroxide stopped during project Mercury so as not to compete with Bell which was using FMC hydrogen peroxide (Ref. 1).
