US - Beal Aerospace (1997 - 2000)


General Information:

Beal Aerospace was founded (commercially funded) by Andrew Beal which was building one of the worlds largest expendable launch vehicles. At the time of ceased operations the second stage of the BA-2 was sucessfully tested. The stage used hydrogen peroxide and kerosene and delivered over 800,000 lbf of vacuum thrust. The president of Whiskey Yankee LLC was the lead propulsion engineer for the first year of operation of Beal Aerospace.
